Vaginal Contraceptive Film - 28% Nonoxynol-9

Manufacturer: VCF

_WAY_ easier than people are making it seem
I have been using these for literally years...not a slip up in sight!
The insertion does need to be done by middle finger, but quickness is not that huge of an issue after you figure out where the opening to your cervix is (if you reach up with your middle finger...before you try inserting anything...and find something that feels rounded and hard like the tip of you nose...thats what you are trying to insert around).
Fold it in quarters, and use your finger tip to put it in place. I strongly reccomend squatting, or laying down with your legs bent kind of like a frog, as this makes finding your cervix a total no brainer.
You can even make it part of foreplay, provided that you can avoid intercorse for the 15min it takes for the film to disolve.
This product is an awesome alternative to hormonal birth control, and it is easy to carry (just don't be shocked if you put it in your pocket & it gets all soft and sticky...use a purse or case to cary it).

Worthless!
I used this exactly as the directions stated, and in the first month I ended up pregnant with my daughter. Don't trust it! It doesn't work!

A nice backup
My wife and I just started using these films about 6 weeks ago. She went off of hormonal birth control due to side effects and we are in the process of switching to a non-hormonal copper iud. In the meantime we're using condoms and these films. As with other reviews it is essential to fold the films over a couple of times for ease of insertion. My wife has had no reactions during or after using it. I can't speak to the effectiveness of these without another form of bc i.e.cervical cap, condom or diaphragm. I do know however know that according to planned parenthood and my wife's obgyn, spermicides are only about 15-20% effective by themselves, hence my wife and i use condoms.

Safe, effective, and easy to use
I've been using these films for several months now and I have found them to be the most discrete and effective form of birth control besides the Today sponges. They're quick and easy to insert, but can be a little awkward for first-time users. I advise allowing 30 minutes for it to dissolve rather than the 15 minutes that it claims. Overall, it's easy and it's great for serious relationships - no birth control is 100% baby-preventing so plan ahead just in case! I'm not pregnant yet, so I guess it works...

Extremely effective and much better than a condom
I have been using this product for over 3 years with my partner and it has been completely effective. This product is easy to use and I do recommend folding in half twice when using it.
